Derby City Chapter Information

The Derby City Chapter of FEW, located in Louisville, Kentucky, was chartered on June 14, 1975 -- the first chapter in Kentucky. In March 2002, the Ft. Knox Chapter merged with the Derby City Chapter until July 18, 2013, when the Gold Vault Chapter in Ft. Knox was chartered. The Derby City Chapter is a member of the Southeast Region of FEW which covers the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and part of West Virginia. The Derby City Chapter is a multi-agency chapter. Members come from federal agencies throughout the Greater Louisville, Ft. Knox and Southern Indiana area.

The Derby City Chapter participates in several community outreach events such as collecting toiletries, cleaning supplies and soft drink tabs for Ronald McDonald House throughout the year; pennies for Hosparus (Southern Indiana) “Pennies from Heaven” campaign; and an annual poster contest for high school art students at New Albany, Indiana High School during "Women's History Month."

We award scholarships for members to attend the FEW Southeast Regional Training Program (RTP) and the FEW National Training Program (NTP) annually.

Membership is open to all federal employees, both male and female, as well as anyone supporting FEW's goals. Annual dues are $45.00.
